Background
Dr. Nezar Jrebi was born in Tripoli, Libya where he earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tripoli at the top of his class. Dr. Jrebi pursued his residency in General Surgery at The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and was chosen among eighteen preliminary residents to complete his residency at Mayo. His Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship was completed at The Ferguson Clinic/Michigan State University, one of the first proctology clinics in the US. While there, he earned Alpha Omega Alpha Award as an outstanding fellow.
Dr. Jrebi spent the last six years at West Virginia University Hospital, where he spearheaded a colorectal surgery practice and as the chief of the division. Dr. Jrebi is an active member of multiple medical and surgical societies.
His primary specialty is colorectal surgery, minimally invasive, robotic surgery and also performs some general surgery. Dr. Jrebi’s provides care primarily out of the Fort Worth location and is leading the colorectal surgery service line. He is also bilingual with fluency in Arabic. Dr. Jrebi is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, American Medical Association, and Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
