Background
Dr. Leslie Rousseau specializes in the treatment of all foot and ankle disorders. He has received advanced training in wound care, deformity correction, limb salvage and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. He is a member of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American Diabetes Association. In addition to the adult population, Dr. Rousseau offers a full range of pediatric services. He trained at Joslin Diabetes Center which emphasizes the need for yearly diabetic foot exams.
Dr. Rousseau is board certified by the American board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons in both forefoot surgery and rear foot/ankle reconstructive surgery. He graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco with a doctoral degree in June 2001. He completed a three year residency program in foot and ankle surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. Dr.Rousseau treats all aspects of the foot and ankle, but specializes in diabetic limb preservation and foot and ankle trauma reconstruction. He is proud to be the associate director of the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton Wound Care Center. Dr. Rousseau also speaks and writes Spanish fluently.
